The first two months of rewirement have gone by quickly. Some common questions I’ve been asked include:
❓Any regrets? What do you miss most?
❓What are you doing with all your free time now?
❓Have you gone on a vacation and/or treated yourself to something?
My answers:
✅ No regrets. I miss seeing the people every day but am grateful that while jobs and roles change, relationships endure.
✅ Umm, well, it feels like I’m busier now than before.
✅ No
In my 30-day check-in, I talked about being present, engaged, and grateful. These feelings continue to blossom and manifest in numerous diverse ways.🪴 I’m learning that opportunities still abound, albeit in different forms. 🙏 It probably doesn’t surprise you that my clarity about legacy and purpose continues to intensify. But what is surprising to me is that my calendar is now overflowing albeit with exciting pathways and potential. 🗓
Confession time. 🤦🏻♀️ I’ve managed to carry-over a habit that I had as a full-time corporate leader into the early months of my rewirement. And that habit is prioritizing virtually everyone and everything else above myself. Does this sound familiar to any of you? 💡 In full transparency, I’ve mentored and coached countless people, especially working moms, on this precise issue. But, I’ve been woefully unsuccessful at heeding my own advice about wellness.
It’s time for a #reset.🪬And what better way to help with focus, accountability, and fun than a reset retreat with a friend. I’m fortunate to be on this journey with several colleagues, including my good friend Joan Marsh whose rewirement started 30 days after mine. 👯♀️ We’re dedicating this week to ourselves which includes stretching personally (figuratively and literally), learning about the importance of strength training (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual), and leaning into new experiences. 🧘🏻♀️ It’s a worthwhile investment we need to make because we are worthy of it. If not now, when? As I believe, it’s never too late to begin a new journey.
What do you think? 🤓 How do you prioritize yourself? And do you weave a support system of others who will catch you when you stumble, help you see clearly when your vision is blurry, and who will celebrate the you that you are and the you that you could be? There’s no time like the present to commit to yourself. Want to join us? ♥️
